Have you ever seen a guy with an amazing beard?
Heck, maybe you’re that guy with the beard that is the envy of your friends.
You should know that his beard didn’t just magically show up on his face one day - he had to work at it.
Surviving the Itchy Stage
If you’ve never grown a beard before, then you may underestimate just how itchy it can be when you go for a week or 2 without shaving.
You might feel like you’re constantly scratching your face those first couple of weeks, but you’ve got to hang in there - it won’t last forever.
Unfortunately, the itchy stage is when many guys give it up and shave it all off - thinking that they are doomed to a life without a beard.
The good news is, there’s plenty you can do to minimize how itchy your beard feels - most important on the list is finding a good beard oil that keeps you moisturized.
Growing It Right
If you follow the blog you know that we don’t really care for the stereotype that beards are dirty and nasty by definition.
That’s simply not the case when you know how to groom your beard properly.
We’ve written previously about our 5 minute grooming process of washing, brushing, combing, applying products and then combing again.
I can’t tell you how important it is to get in the habit of caring for your beard as you get a couple months in.
It’ll make a huge difference in the look and feel of your beard - no matter how long you decide to grow it out.
